I was so busy watching the high school girls that my
car bumped into the mall building itself. Fortunately the glass bricks were held together with a rubbery caulk that reminded me of clear Jello,
and the wall simply "gave" a little, snapping right back into shape as soon as I
reversed. I parked and went inside the gleaming building.
There were the
usual shops, Praline World, Imelda's Shoe Crazy, and
the ubiquitous mortuary chain, Dirt
Naps R Us.
But Marchand's housed a variety of small specialty stores that
were much more interesting.
Let me take you by the virtual hand as we rush breathlessly through the highlights of just
one wing of this magic mall.
