CASE FILE: Jim Montgomery
"We bring before this Honorable Court the tragic case of Jim 
Montgomery--perhaps the saddest, most shocking and blunt example 
of wretched excess in the 'War on Drugs' which this Court will 
ever have occasion to review. Simply stated, Jim Montgomery is a 
40-year-old paraplegic, with no prior criminal history, who was 
sentenced to life imprisonment, plus 15 years, for having two 
ounces of marijuana in a pouch on the back of his wheelchair...."
