The "Tables of Measurements" describe, in great detail, the physical characteristics and bodily dimensions (in millimeters) of several thousand Egyptian villagers; while the sepia photogravure "Illustrations" portray a large sampling of Egyptians in mug-shot format. <P> The volumes were published in Warsaw in 1964 and 1965 by the Polish Academy of Sciences and the Egyptian Research Centre. They comprise more than a thousand pages in total.
